The 37-year-old actress and her husband, Will Kopelman, 35, welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Olive, on Sept. 26 in Los Angeles, her rep tells Us Weekly.

"We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born September 26th, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family," the couple says in a statement.  "Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives."
Barrymore and art consultant Kopelman began dating in 2010 and became engaged in January. An insider told Us Weekly the actress was set on saying "I do" before the baby arrived in the fall. "They have been trying to get pregnant," one source shared. "That's why they got engaged . . . They are very happy! She's ready to settle down and be a mom."

The couple married on June 2 at the actress' Montecito, Calif. estate. "Everyone knows the baby's coming, so there wasn't much talk about it," a source revealed to Us about the wedding. "Will said something like, 'I'm excited to marry you. I'm excited to meet the newest member of our family.'"

The Big Miracle star admitted to Jay Leno on The Tonight Show in February that she hopes to have multiple children with Kopelman.
"We'll start with one," she said. "See how it goes and if we could be so blessed . . . that would be wonderful."
